About the work

I wanted to showcase the Haunted Wood in its true form and allow it to come alive. Featured in the Anne of Green Gables tales, its mysterious and peaceful landscape is a beautiful sight to see. Being there, I felt a certain peace that was haunting, yet calm and serene. The way the light filled up the space and reflected off the trees was remarkable. It gave the forest a special blurry movement, although everything was still. It was truly a memorable place.
