An organic painting is the base for this multimedia collage that incorporates layers of botanical-inspired tissue paper pieces differentiating the textural striation details within the painting. Contrasting the soft painting with tight, hard-edged tissue shapes along with experimentation of a new type of collage composition pushed me to explore the theme of a fearless sense of optimism by freeing myself to let go of comfortable layouts and unearth new ideas.
