About the work

This piece is part of a series of abstracted floral paintings. Mixed media and a variety of marks are layered up on the page to create a vibrant composition. Somewhere between the imperfect and perfect shapes of nature as well as the living and dying of plants is a mystical space holds the mystery and beauty of life in tension. It is this place that I am trying to depict when I paint.
