Through my creative venture, House of Boys Art + Design, I create accessible abstract art inspired by the beachy modern vibe of my hometown, Santa Cruz, California. This modern take on a traditional landscape evokes the lovely shades of Northern California’s coastal bluffs on a foggy summer day.
ABOUT THE ARTIST

Caryn Owen created abstract paintings while simultaneously balancing motherhood and a career as a marine biology professor for years. In 2014, she left marine biology behind to predominately focus on art.
Using acrylic paint on canvas, Caryn creates abstract landscapes, abstract botanicals, or pure abstract expressionist paintings focusing primarily on color rather than form in her studio in Santa Cruz, California.
