Night Mint Blossom depicts my vision of what plants and sea life might look like in an alternate universe or dream-like space. In the dark expanse of space, this creature is a beacon of light to all who pass by, with leaves that glow like the stars. This mixed media work is a combination of pen, ink, acrylic, and vintage collage materials on paper.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
by Jenny Brown
Hello! I'm Jenny Brown, a visual artist from Providence, RI.
Works found in this shop look to illustrate my curiosity surrounding issues of time and space, through the creation of my personal alt universe of stars, flowers, & sea creatures.
My love of paper ephemera and the stories that these pieces hold are important materials in this work. They inform my creatures with stories of the past, and further connect all living beings into their possible future selves and alternative histories. less
