The ‘Experiments with Film’ series explore two of the most basic elements in photography: Light and Colour. The aim is to focus solely on both elements without the inclusion of any human activity, which could divert the viewer from such basic principles. Hence the use of different techniques such as multiple exposure, the exposure of film to different light sources and the capture of images completely out of focus play a crucial role in the series. This print is part of a 6-part series.

    about the artist

    Caracas

My name is Arash. Half Venezuelan, half Persian. I'm based in Caracas. I always had this thing for art in general, with photography as my primary medium. The abstract arts have always attracted me. I like the idea of manipulating negatives and digital images in any possible way to find interesting color combinations. I believe that pushing the boundaries of the medium is where mindfulness improvisation happens.
