About the work
Weightless is part of my on going series exploring interaction with water as a metaphor for peace and agility amid the shifts and uncertainties of life. Watercolor itself is a medium that shines through the unexpected and the beauty of what can't and shouldn't be controlled. My painting practice is a constant lesson in learning to recognize and enjoy that which is out of my control and integrate those marks together with what I had planned in the hopes of making beauty that surprises me and surpasses my imagination.
