About the work

I am always inspired by plants, foliage, and the fine details unique to each. It's where I am most inspired to create many of my creative works. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I don't seem to have much of a green thumb, and botanical art is just a splendid way to surround yourself with nature indoors. My admiration over the unique exaggerated large sized monstera plant leaf served as the inspiration for this fine art piece. My focus was the organic characteristics of the plant.
