About the work

The challenge of capturing the well loved beauty of flowers in a new and contemporary way has always excited me. A subtile shift of perspective can help something familiar become new again. I loved the freedom of this little jelly jar bouquet of ranunculus flowers - the way some of the stems reach out and throw the whole composition off balance is perfectly imperfect.
