This painting was inspired by a trip to Yellowstone National Park. The colors in the water and surrounding earth are truly otherworldly. While some of the more famous geysers and basins have incredibly vibrant colors, I was drawn to those with a more subtle palette.

My aesthetic is ever-changing. Ethereal-light-reflective and playful one moment, industrial-modern-gritty-urban the next. I find it so difficult to limit myself to any one style because I like to be surrounded by contrasting elements in my own environment. A painting should evoke emotion in its owner every time he or she looks at it.
