About the work

Part of my meditative drawing series, these "stripey snakes", are fun to draw. I've nicknamed them Sandworms after the movie Beetlejuice. I began to add color to them, starting with a simple watercolor - I like the contrast of the hard black and white lines with the softness and airy feel of the watercolor.
