Lush and beautiful, peonies are full of wild abandon. They burst forth with impossible layers of petals, giving off a heady scent. Ever since I was a child, peonies have been a favorite of mine. After a rainstorm, I loved to hold up one of the heavy blossoms and watch the petals fall around my feet like some sort of honeyed blessing.
