Movement in photography always drawn me in. I purposely slowed the shutter to show the motion on this French carousel. I love how the colors blur together, while the background buildings stand completely still. I hope this image evokes a sense of whimsy and fancifulness in the viewer.

Travel and photography are such a perfect pair. Though I love seeing new places even without my camera, when I am able to photograph somewhere I am traveling it seems like all the stars align. I'm particularly drawn the plants and landscapes in the American southwest. California, Arizona, and southern Utah inspire me explore and document what I find. less
