This painting was influenced by my time living in Helsinki, Finland. I was intrigued by the mix of modern buildings that intersected with the old pastel colored ones. The combination of the old with the new architecture created an elegant and unique aesthetic.

My art is an on-going journey that has taken several detours in its life span. Presently, my work is full of layers with geometric and linear shapes that are created by hard-edge and underpainting techniques. Cool and warm colors are harmoniously displayed in my work which are inspired by my time exploring the great outdoors in America and Europe. These layers are visual influences hiding and living my in subconscious—it’s my interpretations of how I experience the natural work. less
