The unique cottages tucked away in the beach towns of San Diego are the inspiration for the series Places & Spaces. In the painting “Ocean View” the architecture is represented by simple shapes in relation to one another. They are painted in layers of color against an imperfect, dark outline. Warm, bright colors are used to express the feeling of sunshine.
