Watercolor has always been my first choice when painting, with it's fluid mingling of colors and happy surprises of shapes and colors. This partially abstracted landscape done in graphite and watercolors took on a flow of its own. My goal for this piece was to capture the shapes and jewel colors created by the light streaming through the trees.
