I grew up surrounded by green hills, thick woods and flowing creeks and this painting which is not particularly based on an actual place delves more into the memory of those places that have stayed with me through life. I know when I come up on a natural landscape in the current moment that resonates with me, I like to think that it's because it connects deeply to those long ago places that give you a threading though life.
