Living on the edge of a national park in Canada means we often hear wolves howling on summer nights. I love sharing my home with them, and wanted to capture their beauty in this watercolour study. Simple brush strokes and minimalist washes describe the wonderful textures and tones in the wolf's coat, while dark pops of colour in the nose, ears and tail provide contrast and accent.
