The ocean remains one of my primary sources of inspiration. This abstract landscape painting draws on childhood memories in Alaska, following an outgoing tide and marveling at the treasures and intricate designs left behind on the tidal flats.

My aesthetic is ever-changing. Ethereal-light-reflective and playful one moment, industrial-modern-gritty-urban the next. I find it so difficult to limit myself to any one style because I like to be surrounded by contrasting elements in my own environment. A painting should evoke emotion in its owner every time he or she looks at it. When I create my paintings, I envision them in someone’s home and hope that each piece brings as much joy to its new owner as it did to me during its creation. less
