Calling Me Home II
Inspired by the seasonal rhythms of planting, harvest and fallow, Calling Me Home recalls the joy of summers spent at the prairie farm. Time with family, playing in the sun & lake, harvest suppers and expansive wheat fields. This collage piece was created by tearing and layering hand-painted translucent papers to create a subtle watercolour effect in soft shades of sky, earth and fields of green.

I aspire to create art that reflects the subtle beauty of the big open skies and linear landscape of my prairie home.
