This painting was created with an alcohol ink design on a glazed tile and then set on fire to allow the alcohol to be burned off and create very interesting and intricate details as the alcohol evaporated and the remaining pigments dried. The rich blues meander and mix together reminding me of a Japanese shibori fabric design.
