This abstract painting explores the relationship and impact different sized lines can have. Starting off with a wash of gray in a large brush stroke, then layering fine lines, and then one thicker black line. The dynamic movement created by the minimal lines and shapes bring it all together.

Kirsta Niemie Benedetti lives and works in Columbus, Ohio with her husband and two daughters. Currently she is focusing on abstract painting and portrait installations using a combination of acrylic and latex paint layered with graphite drawings on canvas. Her travels, living abroad, and social justice are often motivations for subject matter.
