The elegant grace and unique coloration of the reddish egret inspired this painting. Nature is my biggest inspiration and the flora and fauna of the Louisiana and Gulf Coast wetlands are of particular importance to me, being from this region. These lands and their inhabitants are some of the most beautiful on earth and I hope to share that beauty with others through my re-creation of it on paper.
