The beauty of Lough Kylemore in Connemara (Ireland) almost made me gasp. It is all so quiet and the reflections are just amazing – mountain becomes water becomes land again … I aimed to capture the dreamy atmosphere of the lake concentrating on the huge green hill, with the house very small in the centre – to highlight the secluded feeling.

I am a graphic designer originally, but in 2011 I decided to spend more time away from the computer, which led me back to my first love, painting! Which then led to surface design, and then illustration. And it set my life on a different path … nowadays I work from my small but cozy home studio in the beautiful Lahn River Valley. I love to sketch and paint outdoors and I call our rooftop garden and the valley itself my second and third workplace. less
