This print is part of a series of paper collages, which were created as a playful exploration of color, pattern, texture and layers. This piece was inspired by traditional quilt block patterns, and the log cabin pattern in particular. Those patterns became the starting point for these loose and modern interpretations. The muted pastel color palette of this print coordinates nicely with the colors in “Abstract Muted 3”, while the prints “Abstract Brights 1 and 3” were both similarly inspired by quilt patterns, but created with a much brighter color scheme.
