Art PrintWeaving Toward One Another

In a Room
Frame Close-up
This painting started as an experiment of pressing charcoal marks into deep gesso, and became a contemplation of a divided population working their way toward each other. The marks began on either end and, line by line, covered the ground until meeting in the middle. In the end, the image is reminiscent of both a tapestry and a population of tally marks.
