Summer is such a special season, so much to look forward to and such a short season in the north. Sitting around a campfire staring into that primal flame is a beautiful experience. I wanted to try to capture a little bit of that feeling of motion, warmth and primal mystery. This is part of a series of fire paintings I am working on, I eventually hope to make some very large ones!
