From the larger series of nature/island inspired modern and minimalistic expressions, this piece expresses a simple yet complex exploration of line and color range/field, particularly those of the ocean - Composed after a long awaited returning visit home to Hawaii, compelling me to express through color and line - in a range of Ocean inspired hues, and gestural yet controlled brushstrokes, the power of the island and sea - the fusion of an island modern style was thus brought to life.
