You have to take a boat to get to Portsmouth on the Outer Banks. It's a wildlife refuge that is completely isolated from tourist destinations to the North. On the way to the dock, we passed a small barrier island that had been conquered by pelicans. Look for the eye staring back. Art is all around us... I just use my camera to capture it. Photobyajd.com
