The Carolina coast is rich in subjects and inspiration for my paintings. This particular work shows the Grand Strand below Myrtle Beach, South Carolina following a morning shower. The ocean is unusually warm - in the low eighties Fahrenheit during summer months - due to the proximity of the Gulf Stream hence this painting's title.
