Me: So, remind me why you've been wearing a bathing suit and rainboots all day? My 3 y.o.: Because I want to dance in the rain. Me: Ummm...it's not going to rain. 3 y.o.: Mommy, I'm learning to be patient. she wore rainboots, but only on sunny days. She wore mismatched socks on her feet, matching socks on her hands and lived in a land where everything was possible. Her favourite toys were the salad spinner, any crack in the paint or knot in the wood that could be reimagined as a creature, and the sunbeams that would light up our teeny tiny home.
