Picked from a dear friend’s backyard garden, this bold dahlia was delivered as a gift. With each layer of petals slowly emerging it brings joy to the day. I captured this beautiful flower in the sunshine of the afternoon on my mother’s kitchen table. It pairs well with “Resting Rose” and “Dandelion Defined” by Janelle Wourms.
