This painting in inspired by a trip to Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula where many cenotes (swimming holes) are found. The ancient Mayans believed cenotes were a place for ritual and transformation. This cenote is from the colorful and lively city of Valladolid! A vibrant and abstract painting with lots of deep blues, greens, warm neutral tones with touches of vibrant yellows and oranges.
