Much of my work is inspired by nature and natural forces. Spring Freshet is a semi-abstract landscape acrylic painting that expresses a sense of seasonal change—snow melting in the mountains, water rushing out to sea. It is both kinetic and calming.

My work is driven by a study in contrasts: light and dark, refined and rustic, serene and chaotic. Contrast creates dynamic tension—the ultimate playground for any artist. Orchestrating the balance between opposites is where life and art become interesting to me. I currently reside near Minneapolis on two unruly acres with my husband, two teenage boys, and our pets. less
