I arrived at the Santa Monica Pier on a busy summer Saturday, and even though I took the photo among the chaos of the California crowds, I found this photo reminded me of the stillness and simple joy that comes from any hot summer day. Although it exists as a single photo, it also lends itself well to a themed wall gallery.
