I was inspired to paint this swimmer underwater to show the beautiful form of the swimmers figure, the brilliant turquoise water, and the pattern of the water reflections on the skin and surface of the pool. The vibrant colors denote a sense of energy, but the cool underwater deep blue and green, give a cool refreshing feel.

I am a retired physician living in Denver, Colorado. I grew up in Huntington Beach, California and spent summers at the beach. I graduated from UCLA School of Medicine and began my career as a physician in diagnostic radiology. Photography became my creative outlet and way of relaxing.
