Creating hand-drawn patterns with simple compositions has always been a passion of mine. This collage is an experiment of creating motifs using unusual materials for me: cardboard and mulberry paper. Organic textures, cellulose fibers and imperfect geometric cut-outs emphasize the imperfection of human beings and our connection with the natural world.

Alisa is a self-taught Ukrainian artist living in Spain. She finds inspiration in nature and the tactile world: simple shapes, organic textures, and everyday materials. Her work grows from a love for collage, mixed media, and traditional techniques, where fragments come together to form new visual narratives. She enjoys searching for old papers, books, and archival materials that carry traces of time. Yellowed pages, worn edges, and small imperfections remain visible in her work. less
