If you don’t mind getting a little wax beneath your fingernails, here’s how to make your own alphabet crayons!
My son has a slight obsession with alphabet letters, so for his birthday, I decided to make letter-shaped crayons as party favors. They were surprisingly simple to make and a big hit! If you don’t mind getting a little wax beneath your fingernails, here’s how to make your own.
Peel the wrapper off each crayon, then break the crayons into smaller pieces. This is the most time-consuming part, so enlist your kid’s help. Fill the alphabet mold with the crayon pieces, mixing and matching the colors. Fill the letter molds to the top; bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Remove the trays from the oven and let cool for about 15 minutes before carefully popping each letter out of the mold. Package the alphabet crayons in a clear box to give as favors—you’ll want to show them off!
