This piece is part of a photo essay shot during the pandemic summer in Northern California. This work is all about wandering in solitude, away from others. As I was walking through fields and sand, I reached my hands out to feel the connection to nature--all the prickly, grainy, soft, and feathery parts that defend and entice.
