Since I was a little girl, I have always had a healthy fear of water. This abstract watercolor confirms why I should have that fear! With its intense blues, moody teals, dark grays, and black merging together as if in a raging storm, you can almost feel and hear the sea roaring.

about the artist

byNaomi Eggers

Fort Dodge, IA

Naomi Eggers is a self-taught graphic designer who doesn’t claim to be an artist. However, with the use of photo editing software, she can get close! Starting out with a photograph possessing colors she wants to work with, Naomi manipulates, alters, and distorts that photo until it begins to look as though it’s emerging into a new life. Using several techniques, she’s able to give it an artistic flair. All this happens in her little house in Iowa which she shares with her charming husband.
