About the work
This photo was one of many taken during a residency at the Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan, Ireland. I tried to capture this beautiful spiraled snail shell in a simple and minimalist shot against the rock wall. The smoothness of the shell and the roughness of the rock creates a wonderful juxtaposition of texture.
