About the work
This monoprint is reminiscent of oceans and vintage photographs together in one. The piece was inspired from my visits to the ocean along the Oregon coast. The ocean meets the land in the most beautiful way there. When monoprinting, there are many elements that are out of my control. This piece surprised me by what appears to be bubbles of the underwater ocean. This piece is a part of a larger body of work, including Ocean Abstract III and Ocean Abstract V.
