I love working with vintage and found materials and adding layers of color and paint to create original compositions. The California Poppy is one of my favorite flowers. To create my pieces, I start with accumulated and collected paper: postcards from family and friends, envelopes, sketchbook pages, my daughter’s doodles, old wallpaper and photographs, hand-painted papers, and stickers. I piece the papers together following colors, forms, and shapes. There is often the suggestion of topography and water, botanical forms, and big curves of space.

    Richmond, CA

I am a collage artist and printmaker and use an assortment of painted and found papers to make my colorful abstract pieces. I am inspired by forms found in nature and often think of my abstract pieces as plant forms or landscapes.
