This image was intended to capture the beauty of mini roses given to me by my now fiancé. I originally had taken a photo of the roses but decided to spice it up by giving them a painted, watercolor feel. Ever since I was a child, I have always enjoyed photographing nature and flowers as I always find beauty in them. In this image, I wanted to evoke the elegance and beauty that roses convey and felt that a watercolor style would be successful in doing so. I love to play with texture and different styles with my digital artwork; I love giving my photos that extra “oomph” and giving them a painterly feel. This painting has an abstract feel as the loose washes of watercolor imitate the delicate petals of the roses. I feel this painting has a peaceful feel to it due to the delicate painted strokes of pink, soft blues, and greens that will ease your mind and spirit.
