Inspired by my travels cross-country, this image of a freight train in a New Mexico landscape embodies the memories of family trips and adventures on historic route 66. The photograph has been digitally re-colored to create a unique look. The contrasting green of the sky and the rusted earth give a vintage feel to this modern day landscape.

about the artist

byEleni Sianis

Chicago, IL

My love for art and design began as young child creating magical worlds with my crayons. My passion led me to the School of Visual Arts where I got my BFA and a career as an advertising art director. After a little soul searching I changed my path to art education. I have continued to create and have developed a rigorous art practice. My work has been shown nationally at various galleries and can be found in private collections. I am delighted to be a minted artist!
