This handmade fiber sculpture involves a labor intensive knotting and wrapping process. The red oak wood block is then sanded and stained before attaching mounting hardware and rope sculpture. The fringe is then combed and steam pressed to give the desired look.
It's so calming to see the connection of how knots work together to form an art out of a simple rope.
