About the work
The original of this piece was created primarily using a palette knife to shape thick, textural layers of acrylic paint on canvas. A bold yet earthy palette was inspired by rocky landscape, glacial lakes and lush green forests. The composition draws the viewer's eye through a delightfully cohesive yet surprising path of bold hues and interesting, organic shapes.
