It seems like the weather just warmed up, and Easter is already right around the corner. What better way to celebrate the holiday than with a classic Easter Egg Hunt! Playing outside in the warm sunshine with flowers blooming all around; eating sweet Spring treats; beautiful, nature-inspired decor, and fun crafts–it all sounds so dreamy!
A classic carrot cake is the perfect dessert for an Easter get-together. This carrot cake recipe is my very favorite: two moist layers filled with fresh carrots and crushed pineapple, smothered with a sweet and tangy cream cheese frosting. Oh my! I’m like a kid at an Easter egg hunt just thinking about it!Comments Off on Design to Dish: An Easter Egg Hunt

For Easter this year, I traded in the typical bright pastels for something a little more subdued and natural. More neutral for my boys and more organic for me. Minted’s Wooded Bloom dream party suite by By That Girl Press fit the bill perfectly. My color scheme was earthy neutrals, mint green and a pop of yellow for Spring!9 COMMENTS
This week we celebrate Minted’s 6th Anniversary! Aren’t birthdays the best? In celebration of our turning six, we are taking a moment to reflect on how far we have come, and the artists and designers who have taken this journey with us. The very best thing about how much we have grown over the last six years is having our community grow with us.
We’ve asked six fantastic Community Artists a few questions about their artistic style, how it has progressed since joining the Minted Artist Community and where they see their creative selves headed next.Comments Off on Happy Birthday Minted!

Among the many things I’m learning about being a mom, is that kids like to make little observations about everything. Generally, I’ve noticed these fall into two varieties: The sweet kind (think “Mommy, I want to marry you when I grow up” ) and the spicy variety (like “Bottoms aren’t pretty, they don’t have any sparkles in them”). So, for a mother’s day craft, I decided to make something I’d love myself: Pretty containers to record and keep these little verbal gems. I’ve created some printable labels so you can also make your own quote jars, complete with punchy colors and bold patterns.1 COMMENT
