Splish Splash, Art in The Bath.

Sometimes I feel like our poor bathrooms are hopelessly neglected. They’re the last thing to get some attention and shamefully ignored when it comes to decorating. There’s nothing easier than hanging a bit of artwork, or giving them a soothing coat of paint. Blue is especially lovely when you’re soaking in the tub and need one of those ‘Calgon, take me away moments’. I thought I’d round up a few different looks from the Minted art prints collection to give you some inspiration. From vintage-modern and bold, to bright. colorful and child-friendly, to a more adult-like quiet space for reflecting after a long day – here’s a few themes for you to consider.

Type Style: Strangelove

by Annie Clark, Creative Director

Inspired by the title sequence from the Stanley Kubrick film, Strangelove has become the go-to font to evoke a hip and indie feel. Strangelove would surely be found in a Brooklyn art gallery on a Friday night, rocking hip patterned silk pants dressed down with a tee from American Apparel.

Green and Gold St. Patrick’s Day Party

St. Patrick’s Day is easily overlooked when it comes to crafts, baked goods, and DIY’s. Personally I don’t feel the need to have any St. Patrick’s Day decor, but you know me, I love to party. So in case you need a reason to celebrate or just eat some really yummy sweets, here are some fun green and gold ideas to get you in the mood. I mean, who wouldn’t enjoy some shamrock-shaped macaroons with Bailey’s chocolate ganache? This pregnant lady is not saying, “no.”

Animal Bookends

By Rachael Smith, Penelope & Pip

As a book lover I’m always on the lookout for a pair of cute bookends. I have been searching for animal ones for ages, but the ones I’ve fallen in love with are a bit out of my budget.

So I thought I’d get my glitter on and make some cute elephant bookends myself.

Glitter is such a fun medium to work with (especially when it’s hot pink!) and the kids will love helping you make a new little addition to brighten up their shelves.
