Topping a wedding cake just got way more fun with these fringe heart cake toppers! They are whimsical, sweet and will be a great addition for special day. The toppers are made like pinatas, allowing you to stash away something special inside (perhaps your vows!). Save them to whack open when you eat the traditional top layer of cake together, or to open any day when you want to remember how special the wedding was.Comments Off on Fringe Heart Wedding Cake Toppers
Exactly a year ago I was in the midst of post partum chaos and my friend delivered a few groceries to my doorstep including a carton of ice cream. My husband brought it up to the bed with a spoon and I remember saying out loud, “Ice cream has never tasted so good.” And I meant it. After that moment I vowed I would help every new mama I knew in some small way and so I created this snack box that is super easy to put together.8 COMMENTS
One of my favorite new tumblr’s to come around in awhile is This & That from the creative mind of Austin based photographer, Emily Blinco. I think the ampersand is one of the most beloved characters for most graphic designers and the way Emily recreates classic food combinations using it is so creative and fun. Check out all her creations on thisampersandthat.tumblr.com.
If you’re planning a spring or summer wedding these pretty, glittery bottles filled with a fresh flower and an attached escort card would be a lovely DIY detail.
Gold accents with pastel flowers are a great way to combine two of this season’s wedding trends and after your wedding you’ll have a beautiful collection of cute vases for your new home.
Here’s how to make them…4 COMMENTS
My son’s first birthday is rapidly approaching so I’ve been throwing around party theme ideas. He loves his plastic toy animals so I thought it would be fun to create decorations from them. Hence, the birthday animal parade.
With warm weather here to stay, we are finding ourselves coming up with any excuse to dine al fresco with our friends. The perfect addition to any space? A string or three of globe lights to illuminate your space as you reach for that second glass of wine at sunset. I found some of my favorite outdoor dining spaces that show off this beautifully practical accessory, just in time for these warm spring nights.

Spring is here and let the shower season begin! Parties don’t have to be complicated, just something simple on a stick is all you need to make someone smile. These topiaries would be so fun down the length of a Spring brunch or on each side of a buffet at a baby shower. A simple mix of plaster, like what kids use in elementary school, can make a great anchor to hold wood dowels. In no time at all you can have a fun garden of party ready pretties.Comments Off on DIY Party Topiaries
