DIY Wedding: Watercolor Ceremony Program (with Printable!)

By Lauren Saylor of  A Fabulous Fete

DIY Program

When I’m creating pieces for a wedding, I’m constantly thinking about ways to make them fun and functional, as well as something guests will actually want to take home after the wedding’s over. I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve never saved a ceremony program from any of the weddings I’ve attended in the past (except my own, of course!). But I thought that adding an artful element to the program cover—like a romantic quote done in watercolor—would transform a functional program into a keepsake your guests might enjoy later, perhaps framing and displaying it at home or pinning it to a bulletin board at work. I’m always collecting inspiring quotes on Pinterest and this is one of my current favorites, and it’s certainly one many soon-to-be-married couples might be able to relate to!

Read on to download the ceremony-program cover and for instructions on how to make your own ceremony-program booklets.

Minted Floral Invitations

My guess is approximately 24 hours after a couple is engaged, they are on pinterest beginning their search for the perfect wedding theme. And we all know how overwhelming that can be with the abundance of information and ideas on the internet. One place you can start you inspiration search that might help you narrow things down a bit quicker is the invitation. You can easily choose a style, like modern, rustic, floral, vintage, etc. and take it from there. I am a big fan of anything floral and gold, so this floral canopy foil-pressed invitation caught my eye. And if I could plan my wedding day all over again, this is where I would start with my inspiration!

Sequined Table Number DIY

By Lauren Saylor of A Fabulous Fete

Wedding Table Numbers

Sequins as your main decor inspiration? Probably a bad idea. Sequins used for a small piece of sparkly decor? Now, that’s a much better idea. Sparkly used sparingly on your wedding day can add a glamourous touch and make otherwise simple decor stand out. And something that always needs to be eye-catching? Table numbers! So people can find them of course… so mix those 2 elements and you have yourself a shimmering piece that basically doubles as your centerpiece.

Wedding Trends: Pastels, From Lavender to Creme and Sweet Mint Green

Soft shades of ivory, lavender (radiant orchid’s subtle sister) and sweet, sweet mint green are capturing everyone’s heart this season. Creamy ivory is a welcome alternative to stark white and it pairs perfectly with the pastel shades that we have seen in runway, street fashion, interior design and fun spring themed DIY projects for the family.
